Achtung! The German edition of Nick Bowcott’s Park guitar-lesson book, with Frankenstein-themed cover.

The “Park Guitar” range received a facelift in 1997 when the old trio of models were replaced with four new ones. First up was the G10MKII, a no-frills, three-control (Gain, Contour, Volume) 10-watt, 1x6½ combo with a Boost switch an headphone output. Next came the G15RCD, a 15-watt, 1x8 combo that was essentially the old G10R with 5 watts more power and a CD input so you could jam along with your favorite recordings. Then came the G30RCD, a 30-watt, 1x10 combo with two independent channels, reverb, CD input, and a line out. And, last but not least, the G215RCD, a 15+15–watt, 2x8 version of the G15RCD boasting stereo chorus.

Even with the new, lower price of the stripped-down 10-watter, and a white script Park logo on the speaker grille that stated “by Marshall” below it, this new series was considered another cheap, “no-name” amp by the vast majority of consumers and so, once again, sales were respectable but hardly earth-shattering.
